Description
For less than the cost of one frame, discover the best frames and arrangements on your walls with Apple Vision Pro before you spend hundreds to frame your photos and art.
The best gallery arrangement melds with the room decor. Use FrameIt Vision with your Apple Vision Pro to see the possibilities for your photos on your gallery wall before investing in expensive frames.
FrameIt Vision combines pictures from Photos with frames you design into arrangements you make on your wall. When it's ready, create a report describing the arrangement or share it in a reality file that's viewable on Vision Pro in Quick Look simply by clicking on the file in the Files app.
You use the FrameIt Vision app to
• visualize a gallery wall and generate a report before purchasing frames, or
• create reality objects to decorate your Vision Pro spaces.
Frame pictures from your Photos library in rectangular-, oval- or octagon-shaped frames in sizes, colors, surfaces, and materials you choose from extensive palettes. Canvas wraps and frameless styles are also supported. Drag, swap, and arrange the framed pictures to explore new designs.
A few simple concepts:
• Face the gallery wall, start the app
• Changes apply to all selected pictures
• Selected framed pictures are bright
• Unselected framed pictures are dim
• To select, look at a picture and tap
• Double-tap to extend the selection
• Dragging shows the alignment grid
• Tap the hidden alignment grid to select all framed pictures
• Double-tap the hidden grid to move and lock it
• Undo is your friend
• When ready, export a report and
• Snap a screenshot to capture your arrangement in Photos

What’s New
Version 2.2.1
• Introduces context-sensitive guidance for explaining framing terms, common choices, and design decisions
• "Delete framed pictures" and "Remove pictures" are now undoable
• Octagon-shaped frames are now all in "stop sign" orientation like the regular octagon frame
• The new octagon shape transitions smoothly into an octagon in a square as the frame size is adjusted so the width and height are the same
• Resolves an issue where octagon mat windows could be distorted when the mat border was small
• Float frame shadows are improved
• Resolves an issue where mat border width could not be adjusted when the frame style was matless
• Improves the fit of mats in frames with very narrow 3/8" faces
• Increases the mat border widths allowed in the mat window size panel
• Corrects the suggested mat window size for a float-frame
• Resolves an issue where the picture crop could be wrong
• Resolves an issue where the single-weight mat bevel width of a rectangle in oval or octagon frame was too narrow
• Fixed the mat window size in the generated PDF report, which was occasionally wrong
• The PDF report explains the "Picture fits opening" vs "Window fits opening" setting
• Adds a setting that switches the view in the Pictures Crop & Resize panel between "picture is window size" and "picture is opening size". Use "picture is opening size" to keep the previous behavior. Use "picture is window size" to see how much of a picture is hidden by the mat-picture overlap that holds the picture in place
• Window and opening sizes are now included in the PDF report. The window size is the size that the picture fits in. The opening size is the viewable size of the image. The opening is smaller than the window by the amount of overlap the frame or mat uses to hold the image. Frameless and matless openings are the same size as the window size. Understanding the difference between window and opening is especially important when the frame window is smaller than 10"
• Resolves an issue where toggling the "use uniform borders" in the mat sizes panel did not refresh mat border widths
• Enables mat border width 0" if "use uniform borders" is on, otherwise it is not enabled
• Sets the frame style to a matless style if an enabled mat border width of 0" is chosen
• Improves the rectangle mat window fit in an octagon frame
• Resolves several issues where mat window sizes of oval or octagon frames were not enabled/disabled correctly when the mat window shape was a rectangle
• Improves pebble, canvas, burlap, and satin mat surface textures
• Improves bevel and triangle face profiles
• Adds guidance for framing when the picture is of a known fixed size
• Improves the frame colors to be more lifelike
• Includes many small refinements resulting from testing
• Avoids a potential crash on startup if the previous session deleted a framed picture
Ratings and Reviews
Very impressive
The auto framing behavior is a great way to start. After that, I was able to adjust a few things to my liking. This is definitely my new favorite way to look back on photos from vacations and trips.
